Give
Why give? Because, as you know, the studies we pursue here at Scripps Research change human lives. And your support can impact lives in so many ways.
Your gift equips our scientists to maintain momentum at the leading edge of discovery. It enables us to attract the brightest minds to our faculty and support the most promising students through our graduate school. Your gift underscores the impact of the time you shared with us…and the impact that the Scripps Research experience has had on your own career.
In recent years, many Scripps Research alumni, in partnership with current faculty and staff, have led several very successful fundraising initiatives. They have joined forces to endow faculty chairs and graduate student fellowships. They have funded visionary research and helped purchase state-of-the-art equipment. They have underwritten education and training programs for students of all ages, fostering the next generation of scientific excellence.
As a Scripps Research alumnus, you know the value of scientific research: remarkable new medicines, novel therapeutic strategies, finely tuned and individualized healthcare. There’s more to do. With your support, we can continue to improve human lives here and around the world.
My time at Scripps Research was transformative. The environment, the incredible scientists I got to meet. So, for me, it was just a matter of wanting to give back.
Honor the Leaders who Helped Shape Your Journey
Following are a few of the initiatives that offer opportunities for Scripps Research alumni to give back. Others are underway. If you’d like to discuss any of these giving priorities or if you’d like to seed an initiative of your own creation, email [email protected].

The training that I received at Scripps Research was invaluable, paving the way for a successful scientific career and putting me in a position to give back. Now, more than ever, we need to double down on our investment in basic research and training the next generation of scientists whose discoveries will shape the future of medicine.
