Overview

Over the last several decades, the institute has established its core strengths at the interfaces between chemical and biological sciences, and its faculty include three Nobel laureates, award-winning chemists, and multiple inventors of FDA-approved drugs and vaccines.

Located in La Jolla, California, Scripps Research also has a vibrant PhD program, the Skaggs Graduate School of Chemical and Biological Sciences, ranked in the top 10 in chemical and biological sciences by U.S. News & World Report. It boasts a collegial and collaborative environment, where faculty, students and postdoctoral scholars can freely interact across disciplines to form synergy in emerging areas of research.
