Computational Biology Research Camp
miRcore offers a research training program for motivated 8th–12th graders to explore computational biology and genomics in disease.
Overview
miRcore, a nonprofit educational organization, runs a research training experience for academically motivated 8th–12th grade students interested in computer science, math, natural sciences and medicine for an opportunity to learn about the role of genomics in disease. Students will learn how to perform computational biology research using clinical data to identify genes related to certain diseases. A separate basic genomics session will be given to accommodate students who may not have taken first year high school biology.
