We conduct research trials to address the global burden of long COVID by testing repurposed drugs and improving symptom management.

Overview

The emergence of COVID-19 led to one of the biggest mass disabling events in human history. Millions of people worldwide are experiencing long-term health consequences from infections, a chronic condition known as long COVID.

Scientists at the Scripps Research Translational Institute are committed to finding interventions that will provide relief to people living with long COVID. By conducting remote clinical trials that enable virtual participation, our team is designing studies to meet the needs of a community with severe energy and mobility limitations.

Long COVID Treatment Trial - Tirzepatide

Our first drug intervention trial is studying whether tirzepatide, a GLP-1 inhibitor that has shown promise in treating many illnesses, can alleviate symptoms in long COVID.
