Stuti Jaiswal
Assistant Professor of Translational Medicine, Scripps Research
Stuti Jaiswal is a physician scientist who splits her time between research work, clinical care and education activities. Dr. Jaiswal obtained her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Arizona, where she studied the neuronal circuitry underlying central breathing control. She joined Scripps Health in 2013 as an Internal Medicine resident on the ABIM research track pathway, through which she joined the group of KL2 scholars at the Scripps Research Translational Institute. During her KL2 time, she received extensive mentorship in sleep and clinical research studies at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Jaiswal joined as clinical faculty with Scripps Clinic Medical Group in 2017, and continues to work as a hospitalist. Her research work, largely founded on inpatient sleep and delirium, has grown to include population-level sleep and circadian rhythms using digital devices. Most recently, she was awarded a grant to investigate how sleep impacts neurocognitive outcomes in women, and she continues to work toward growing her research funding portfolio. In addition to research, Dr. Jaiswal is dedicated to helping further trainee education in research and evidence-based practice.
