Research Interests
We have developed novel protein engineering tools that enable synthetic organic chemistry to be applied directly to proteins. These tools are being used to address fundamental questions in protein folding, stability, and enzymatic catalysis. We are also interested in biological processes involving complex networks of protein/protein and protein/DNA interactions. Our research utilizes a combination of chemical synthesis and biological expression of proteins that are characterized by an array of spectroscopic and biophysical techniques.Lab News
