Sajish Mathew, Ph.D.

Education:
Ph. D: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. (2009)
M.Sc : Department of Life Sciences, University of Calicut, Kerala, India (2003)
Current Research:
I am interested in understanding the molecular and structural mechanism underlying the anti-angiogenic activity of human Tryptophanyl tRNA Synthetase (hTrpRS) and pro-angiogenic activity of human Tyrosyl tRNA Synthetase (TyrRS), members of the large AminoAcyl tRNA Synthetase (AARS) superfamily. My focus is to get the co-crystal structures of TrpRS with some of its nuclear partners that would bring out a structural insight into the anti-angiogenic activity of TrpRS.
