The next SoF general meeting will be on Thursday April 4, at 1pm in the Beckman 5th floor South conference room. This is a new regular time and place. Lunch will be provided.
Who we are and what we do:
We are a nonprofit, all volunteer organization designed to encourage both professional and social exchange within The Scripps Research Institute, and with postdocs from other academic institutions in the San Diego area.
We support a series of academic events, including a visiting
lectureship program and an annual Research Symposium.
We help to develop postdocs’ careers by offering bursaries
for courses and travel to conferences, and run career-oriented events in
association with the TSRI Careers Office. Our Industry Bridge Program provides
an opportunity for postdocs and grad students to visit and network with San
Diego’s many biotech and pharma companies.
We organize social events, including monthly happy hours,
cross-institute parties and group activities.
We also establish and maintain a program of communication
and information exchange regarding the Institution for all present and former
Fellows.
