Peter Vogt Receives Outstanding Investigator Award

Peter Vogt, professor in the Department of Molecular and Experimental Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), is among the first class of National Cancer Institute Outstanding Investigator Award recipients.

The seven-year award, designed to allow funded investigators to take greater risks, supports accomplished leaders in cancer research who are providing significant contributions toward understanding cancer and developing breakthrough applications in biomedical, behavioral or clinical cancer research.

Vogt was cited for his work on molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis and its potential to impact the translation of basic knowledge into clinical medicine. For additional information on Vogt’s research, visit his faculty webpage and lab website.
