New Philanthropy Officer Joins Scripps Florida

The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) has named Kristin “Kris” Lidinsky as a philanthropy officer on the Florida campus.

“I’m delighted to welcome Kris to Scripps Florida,” said David Blinder, senior vice president of external affairs, “and I’m pleased we will be able to draw on her experience, knowledge and support to grow our philanthropy efforts.”

“I see my role as being a conduit between the community and Scripps Florida,” said Lidinsky, “working with individuals to help match their passion with what we’re doing in our research.”

She joins TSRI from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation, where she was director of development. Prior to that, she was director of development and community initiatives for Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County, Inc. Her long history of working for nonprofits in Palm Beach County also includes serving as executive director of the Epilepsy Association and associate executive director of The Arc.

Lidinsky, who holds a BS in psychology from the University of Florida, has also been active in her community serving on boards of the State of Florida Epilepsy Association, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies and St. Georges Community Center.  A longtime member of the Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, she received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2005.
