Lightning Talks

The Society of Fellows, in collaboration with SOS Toastmasters, hosts an annual lightning talk competition to encourage the presentation and discussion of postdoctoral research within the Scripps Research community.

The lightning talk competition takes place during the National Postdoc Appreciation Week in September every year.

 

The Challenge:  In 3 minutes give us the best overview of your research using one PowerPoint slide.

Who’s eligible:  Any postdoctoral associate/fellow at Scripps Research.  All Scripps Research employees are welcome to attend the lightning talk competition, faculty talks and social mixer (no registration required).

Audience Participation:  Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about you!  You will be vital to the success of the competition as we’ll need all the help we can to enforce that 3-minute time limit! Everybody will get a clapper to be used at the 3 minutes mark!
