The human genome contains some 30,000 to 40,000 genes, many
of which are not characterized. "Each gene, of course, will
be a story," says Professor Rubin Abagyan. The collection
of these genes, these stories, make up the anthology of human
life. Whether each story is a Dr. Faust or a Dr. Seuss, a
Chekhov or a Tolstoy, will be seen as the genome is annotated
with the help of computational biology.
