Positions in the Valente Lab

The Laboratory of Dr. Susana Valente in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the Scripps Research Institute - Florida, is currently recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in HIV biology

Current scientific interests are: Inhibitors of Tat-activated HIV-1 transcription; Identification and characterization of chromatin regulators of HIV-1 latency; characterization of HIV-1 latency inhibitors of HIV capsid dimerization.

Studies incorporate cellular and molecular virology, cell biology, biochemistry, epigenetics and small molecule screening.

Requirements: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or MD/PhD) in virology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or immunology, with several international publications. Preference to candidates with experience with HIV. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the BSL3 facility.
