Special Focus on Immunology Another offering for undergraduates on the California campus is the Summer Immunology and Virology Undergraduate Fellowship (SINAPSE) program, designed specifically to present state-of-the-art immunological and virological research and to introduce students to the Scripps Research Kellogg School graduate program. "The best part of my time in SINAPSE was being able to have the freedom to come up with my own hypotheses and design experiments to test them, under the guidance of my mentor and PI who were always helpful and willing to guide me," said Yu Hui Kang of the University of Cambridge, who interned in the Der Mardirossian lab.
