Floyd Bloom Gives Packard Lecture
Scripps Research Institute Professor Emeritus Floyd Bloom spoke on "From Molecules to Minds: The Unfolding Saga of Neurobiological Circuits in Neurologic and Psychiatric Diseases," as part of the prestigious Packard Lecture in Bethesda, Maryland, on March 31. The Packard lecturer is selected by Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) Faculty Senate to honor an individual who has made major contributions to medical science, education, or policy relevant to the health of the nation and to global health.

Previous Packard Lecturers include Joshua Lederberg, C. Everett Koop, Philip R. Lee, David A. Kessler, Joseph A. Califano, Jr., Michael DeBakey, David P. Stevens, Wayne Hockmeyer, David Rutstein, and Sydney Brenner.
