Christine Fang Gelin Selected for Lesly Starr Shelton Award
The Scripps Research Kellogg School of Science and Technology has announced that graduate student Christine Fang Gelin has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 Lesly Starr Shelton Award for Excellence in Chemistry Graduate Studies. Gelin is interested in the total synthesis of natural products with therapeutic potential and hopes to contribute to discoveries that will benefit society.

Lesly Starr Shelton is a generous benefactor who has provided in her estate for an endowed scholarship in the chemistry graduate program at Scripps Research; in addition she has supported a student through funding of this award for the past several years.
