Giving Back

As the summer draws to a close, teachers who spent the season with Scripps Research look toward to sharing their new knowledge with their students in the classroom. Point Loma High School Biology Teacher Tracy Ebba (shown here), whose internship in the Stout lab was sponsored by the Bank of America, will bring back equipment donations in addition to new ideas for curriculum. A used light microscope, microcentrifuge, and hotplate are among the items that will be put to good use by students in his classroom.

Teacher Sally Nguyen, whose internship was also funded by Bank of America, brings back many new ideas to share in the classroom. "What an amazing opportunity my students will have this coming year!" she says.
