 The Scripps Research Institute's Research Associate Anton Cheltsov of 
        the Abagyan lab has won a Postdoctoral Traineeship Award from the Department 
        of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program. He was selected for this 
        honor on the basis of his project, "Computational Search for Novel Antagonists 
        to the Metastatic Mutant Forms of the Androgen Receptor," through a highly 
        competitive peer review process.
 Cravatt to Speak in Faculty Lecture Series
 Scripps Research Professor Benjamin Cravatt will speak on "The Enzymatic 
        Regulation of the Fatty Acid Amide Class of Neural Signaling Lipids" on 
        Wednesday, June 9, as part of the Faculty Lecture Series. The lecture 
        will be held at 5 PM in the Valerie Timken Amphitheater, Scripps Clinic, 
        10666 North Torrey Pines Road. No reservations are required.
 Lunch and Learn: "LandlordTenant Relations"
 Steven R. Kellman, attorney-at-law and director of the Tenant's Legal 
        Center of San Diego will speak on "LandlordTenant Relations: Whose 
        Home Is This Anyway?" on Wednesday, June 16, from noon to 1 PM, as part 
        of the ongoing Lunch and Learn Seminar Series. The workshopwhich 
        will cover new state laws, local news, condo conversions, and roommate 
        situationswill be held in the W.M. Keck Amphitheater, Beckman Center 
        for Chemical Sciences. No reservations are necessary.
 Sign Up for the Scripps Research Golf Tournament
 Registration is now open for the ninth annual Scripps Research Golf Tournament, 
        to be held Thursday, August 12, from 12:30 to 7 PM, at the Carmel Mountain 
        Ranch Country Club. The tournament consists of a four-person scramble, 
        with 144 spots available upon a first-paid, first-play basis. Each team 
        must be comprised of at least two Scripps Research employees. Individuals 
        are also welcome to sign up. Trophies and prizes to be awarded include 
        top team, doormat (last place), closest to the pin, and longest drive. 
        The cost, which includes dinner and green fees, is $60 per person. For
