| In Brief  Five Kellogg School Students Win NSF FellowshipsMerit-based fellowships from the National Science Foundation have been 
        awarded to graduate students Michael Frederick, Kiyomi Komori, Jeremy 
        Richter, William Ridgeway, and Jason Young of the Kellogg School of Science 
        and Technology at The Scripps Research Institute. The fellowships provide 
        three years of support. "We're excited five of our students have received 
        NSF awards," says Marylyn Rinaldi, graduate program administrative director.
  Nemazee to Speak in Faculty Lecture Series
 Scripps Research Professor David Namazee will speak on "Immunological 
        Tolerance in B Lymphocytes," on Wednesday, April 14, as part of the Faculty 
        Lecture Series. The lecture will be held at 5 PM in the Valerie Timken 
        Amphitheater, Scripps Clinic, 10666 North Torrey Pines Road. No reservations 
        are necessary.
 Traffic Update
 Construction will continue on the median along North Torrey Pines Road 
        between Pangea and Expedition Way until Saturday, April 3. There will 
        be one lane of traffic in each direction in this area until then. Traffic 
        is scheduled to return to two lanes for most of April. Work on traffic 
        loops begins at the end of the month.
 Please Keep Fire Lanes Open
 Parking Services requests that Scripps Research employees avoid parking 
        in non-designated parking spaces. "Thanks for helping us keep fire 
        lanes and traffic lanes open," says Parking Coordinator Chuck Smallwood.
