About 300 San Diego high school students and their teachers arrived
on The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) campus on Wednesday, March
19 to participate in "X-Sci/2003," an event designed to give young people
insight into the workings of basic scientific research and to encourage
them to consider a career in the biosciences.
