Dr. Janda attended the 19th Annual Botulinum Research Center Symposium in New Bedford, MA, and presented the Dr. B.R. DasGupta Memorial Lecture on August 15th. In his lecture "Small Molecule Inhibitors for the Treatment of Botulinum Intoxication," he looked back at 25 years of research in his lab, described his current approaches and offered a perspective for future studies. Drs. Michael Alder and Bal Ram Singh presented him with an award after his lecture.
The memorial lecture honors Dr. Bibhuti (Don) DasGupta, Professor at UW-Madison and a pioneer in the botulinum neurotoxin field, who passed away in 2015.
