Wiley is our Shetland Sheepdog. He was born January 13th, 1996 at "Crown Shelties" Kennel in Ramona, CA just outside San Diego. This page was setup when he was still a puppy. One day I'll get around to scanning in some more recent photos and updating this page. Since we've had Wiley, we've joined the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater San Diego in order to learn about the breed and share some good times with other members and their dogs.
Here is a picture of Wiley with his littermates at seven weeks.
We didn't know which one we were going to end up with when this photo was
taken, so it is funny that he is the one front and center.

We found it pretty hard to choose a puppy from a litter of 6. Beth Sullivan,
the breeder, probably thought we would never leave. We sat and watched them
play for two hours before we finally had to force ourselves to pick.
We took him home when he was nine weeks old. Here he is running with his
chew hoof (yuck! it's a real barnyard hoof of some sort!) hanging out of his
mouth. Hehehehe, those were the days when he used to either run around at
full speed or sleep; there was no in between.
Speaking of sleep, here is one more picture.
I was watching TV and petting the pup, who had fallen asleep, and Jennifer snuck up on us
with the camera. This won't happen again, because he is too big for such
an arrangement to be comfortable. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
