The Second Annual Training Grant Retreat was held at the Faculty Club on the TSRI Campus on Oct 14, 2011. The Annual Retreat provides a forum for the Trainees in the various NIH-supported fellowship programs to meet other Trainees, Mentors, and Faculty, as well as an opportunity to present and discuss their research. The presentations were excellent and with more than 45 Trainees, Mentors, and Faculty in attendance, the question and answer sessions were very lively throughout the meeting! We were pleased to have Dr. Michael Marletta, the President Elect, as the guest speaker, where he provided a presentation on “There are no straight-line paths in science”.

On June 25, 2010 the First Annual Training Grant Retreat was held at the Faculty Club on the TSRI Campus. The Retreat provided a forum for the Trainees in the various NIH-supported fellowship programs to meet other Trainees and Mentors, as well as an opportunity to present and discuss their research. Each of the senior Trainees presented a 10 minute overview of their studies with 5 minutes of discussion. Dr. Michael Oldstone was the first guest speaker, presenting a history of his career at TSRI. The Retreat was a success, and we look forward to next year's Retreat.
