2004 Vendor Show at The Scripps Research Institute
Last page update: Thursday, May 13, 2004, 5:13 PM
Sorry, all tables have been sold out and no additional tables
can be added. Vendors who have not yet paid for their tables, please
send a check payable to "The Society of Fellows" for $650
per table to:
Chris Neidre
The Scripps Research Institute
10550 North Torrey Pines Rd.
CVN-221
La Jolla, CA 92037
Please look at the PDF map of The Scripps
Research Institute campus. We have arranged for a large white
canopy tent near the Immunology Building to serve as the staging
area. The SOF will have members at the tent to help with unloading
from 7:00 - 9:00 am. Please drop off equipment and displays at the
tent first. Because there is no parking available on campus, we
have arranged alternate parking at our nearby Science Park campus.
After dropping off your equipment, please follow the posted signs
and our map to the designated parking area. We have arranged for
two complimentary minivan shuttles on a 5-10 minute schedule to
drive all vendors to/from the main campus.
If you need to pre-ship items to TSRI, please send them directly
to Chris Neidre at the address above. In addition, please send an
email to Chris describing the number of boxes sent and expected
delivery date. Make sure that all packages arrive on the Scripps
Campus before noon on Tuesday, May 18 to allow Scripps shipping
and receiving time to deliver the packages to Chris.
Please notify Chris Neidre if you will require electricity by May
10th so we can make sure we have enough extension cords available.
The following companies have reserved electricity for their tables:
19 AG Heinz Inc
31 Invitrogen
34 Invitrogen
42 Agilent Technologies
64 MJ Research
95 Research Products Intl.

Each table is 3ft. x 8ft. in size, will be signposted with
a table number and company name, and will have two chairs provided
per table. Each main area will have two or three SOF members serving
as hosts. They will be wearing black polo shirts with the SOF logo
(above) and can answer any questions or concerns that arise on the
day of the show. All outdoor tables will be provided with a canopy
tent, roof, or large umbrella for sun protection.
To view all table numbers and locations, please see the following
PDF maps:
Immunology Building and Patio
Molecular Biology
(Skaggs Institute) and Beckman Center Buildings
*Please note: Tables 103-108 will be located in the outdoor plaza
in front of the Molecular Biology (Skaggs) Building. A PDF map of
the TSRI campus can be found here to
see the locations of the buildings.
As incentive to have TSRI people visit your tables, the SoF is
providing free Jamba Juice smoothies and a drawing to win a $200
gift card to a Westfield Shoppingtown Center for TSRI personnel
who complete a Jamba Juice/Drawing Entry form. The forms will be
distributed throughout the tables, and each vendor will receive
stickers with the appropriate building initials: IMM for Immunology
and front patio, MBB for Skaggs Molecular Biology Building and entryway,
or BCC for the Beckman Center Building. Show attendees should write
your company name down, and have you initial the form and apply
a sticker to the appropriate location, depending on the building.
There should be a maximum of only 4 stickers of the same building
per form. Please encourage the show attendee to visit the other
buildings if the maximum has been reached. The stickers may be in
short supply, so please share them if necessary. Also, please note
that it is in your colleagues' and your best interest to not misplace
the stickers.
For this year's vendor show, the SOF has initiated a lecture/presentation
series consisting of 20-25 minute lectures from 12:30pm until 3:00pm
