All TSRI Research Associates (postdocs) are invited to submit abstracts
of their work. Only ONE (1) abstract per presenting author, please.
All authors of accepted abstracts will receive a $25 gift certificate
to Amazon.com for participating!
This year's general subject areas include:
- Chemistry & Chemical Biology
- Cell and Molecular Biology
- Immunology
- Experimental Medicine and the Neurosciences
All accepted abstracts will be divided into four subject areas
based on author preferences and space availability. Therefore, the
subject areas presented during the Symposium may deviate slightly.
Abstracts will be graded on novelty and significance to the field
of research. A total of FIVE money prizes will be awarded per subject
area.
The 3 highest-scored abstracts in each subject area will be selected
for oral presentation. All other abstracts within a subject area
will be selected for poster presentation.
The order of awards in both oral and poster presentations in each
research category will be determined by the judges after presentation
with the following cash prizes:
- 1st Prize, Oral presentation - $400
- 2nd Prize, Oral presentation - $300
- 3rd Prize, Oral presentation - $200
- 1st Prize, Poster presentation - $100
- 2nd Prize, Poster presentation - $50
All winning awards will be given in cash (a check) without
conditions for use. Also, all authors selected to present in
the oral and poster sessions will receive a $25 gift certificate
to Amazon.com.
A maximum of 60 abstracts (~15 per subject category) for both the
oral and poster sessions combined will be accepted this year. With
5 prizes per subject category, that means you have a 1 in 3 chance
of winning at least the $50 prize, and a 1 in 15 chance of winning
$400.
Each presenter may submit only ONE (1) abstract as first
author.
Abstracts should be comprised primarily of unpublished data.
