Notice to Employees – New CA Personal Income Tax Withholding Schedules Effective with the Payday of November 6, 2009.

Effective November 1, 2009, California Personal Income Tax (PIT) Withholding Schedules Replaced

As a result of the passage of Assembly Bill x4_17, the California Withholding Schedules for 2009 have been replaced effective November 1, 2009, to accelerate withholding. The modified schedules are available online at http://www.edd.ca.gov/Payroll_Taxes/Rates_and_Withholding.htm.

NOTE: These schedules are effective November 1 through December 31, 2009, the schedules released for January 1 through October 31, 2009, will also remain available online.
