The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) is primarily a postdoctoral institution and is not setup to provide living arrangements for students and scholars.

Our CA location is close to the University of California, San Diego, which means that there are many apartment and living options available. In addition, Anatolia Corporate Housing provides fully furnished rental properties in La Jolla for short-term or longer stays (30 days to 2 years).
Upon arrival at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), all international students and scholars MUST report to the International Services Office to check-in on or before their first day. Students and scholars receiving funds from TSRI cannot be placed on payroll until they have completed the I-9 Employment Eligibility process in the International Services Office.
Individuals in F and J visa status:
The F and J programs require F-1 students and J-1 scholars to enter the U.S. and report to the International Services Office no earlier than 30 days before the start date on the I-20 or DS-2019 form and no later than 30 days after entering the U.S. Labs should inform the International Services Office of a scholar's travel arrangements and any changes.
Orientation is hosted by the Human Resources Department and provides information about the available resources and policies at TSRI. Contact the Human Resources Department for more detailed information.
