All international students and scholars MUST check-in on or before their first day at the International Office upon arrival at The Scripps Research Institute. Students and scholars receiving funds from Scripps Research cannot be placed on the payroll until they have completed the I-9 process in the International Office.
F and J visa holders are subject to the following SEVIS requirements: F-1 students and J-1 scholars must enter the U.S. and report to Scripps Research no more than 30 days before the start date on the I-20 or DS-2019 form and no later than 30 days after entering the U.S. Labs should contact the international office with scholar travel plans - particularly if they change.
