The Office of Research Grant Development
The Office of Research Grant Development Office (ORGD) was established to aid TSRI's faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in securing extramural support for their research activities. The ORGD works under the general direction of the Vice President of Research Services, with a coordinating relationship to the Dean of the Faculty and the Dean of Graduate Studies. The primary role of the ORGD is to coordinate the preparation of multidisciplinary research project proposals focused on the physical and biological sciences as well as identification of potential grant opportunities for investigators at TSRI.
Staffed by a full-time Research Proposal Writer, the office can also provide the following services to the TSRI community:
- Review and interpret grant guidelines
- Technical writing and editing of proposals
- Aid in budget preparation
- Completion of application forms
- Provide information about compliance with federally-mandated regulations
- Scheduling and facilitation of project planning meetings
