Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the applied science of designing and arranging the
work environment in such a manner as to maximize worker safety and
efficiency. Any work activity could result in an ergonomic-related
"injury", but tasks performed repetitively are more likely
to result in an ergonomic injury.
TSRI's Ergonomics Program includes but is not limited to work
place evaluations, training, implementation of engineering and administrative
control, and medical intervention. If you would like an ergonomic
consultation/evaluation, please contact a Safety
Coordinator.
