Emergency/Spill Response
If you are experiencing a LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY immediately
DIAL 77 from any campus phone.
For CARDIAC EMERGENCIES,
life saving automated public access defibrillators (AED) are available
throughout campus. Click here for the location
of the nearest device.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLANS
contain both campus wide and building specific information that
may be helpful in the event of a building wide emergency. Click

If you are injured, but it is NOT life threatening, proceed
to the MEDICAL CARE page
for instructions.
If you have had a RELEASE OR SPILL of biohazardous,
chemical, or radioactive material please dial 77 from any campus
phone and inform the Security Officer that you need to have EH&S
respond to your location. You should not be working with any material
that you can not clean up yourself, however, if the spill is too
large to handle yourself or if clean-up causes distress to your
eyes, lungs, or skin please evacuate the immediate area and contact
EH&S for assistance. Professional safety employees are available
via cellular phone 24 hours a day for emergency response.
Emergencies Involving X-ray Producing Machinery
Turn off the machine.
Call the emergency line.
Contact the Principal Investigator in charge of this equipment.
Record all important parameters such as kVp, mA, nature and duration
of exposure, and the approximate distance from the source.
