Genotyping

Genotyping

The DNA Array Core Facility currently offers melting curve analysis (Roche LightTyper) and genetic bit analysis (GBA) methods for genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). We have recently begun to use the LightTyper method to replace the GBA method due to its lower reagent and labor costs. GBA will remain an option for analysis of SNPs that are resistant to genotyping using the LightTyper method. The Core Facility is currently evaluating the Affymetrix Mapping 10K Array technology and anticipate that we will make this available to Investigators for gene mapping studies within the next few months.

For information on repeat sequence polymorphism analysis, please contact the TSRI DNA Sequencing Core Facility.
