Leaving online help

Using the Catalyst help system

To use the Catalyst online help system, select the Help/On Catalyst menu item in the top right of any workbench or control panel. (That is, move the mouse cursor over the word Help, press down the left mouse button and, keeping the mouse button pressed, drag the cursor down until the On Catalyst item is highlighted. Then release the mouse button.)

The online help consists of a set of hypertext documents that can be viewed with any internet browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. Catalysts uses your system's default browser to display these files.

Navigating the online help

Most pages within the online help have a link to the index and to the first page of the online help.

Leaving online help

You can close your browser to exit help. Alternatively, you can iconify the browser by clicking the iconify button in its window border.

: Note: If you iconify help, do not select a Help button within Catalyst, since this starts a new browser session in addition to the one that is iconified, causing additional memory usage.
