Using E-Mail with Thunderbird (Win)

How to Setup Mozilla Thunderbird v1.5.x.x (Windows) to Connect to the TSRI Exchange Server

The following directions show you how to setup your Mozilla Thunderbird email client with your Scripps email account (connect to the TSRI Exchange server). It is assumed that you have Thunderbird v1.5.x.x installed or newer.

1. Open Thunderbird.
2. If the New Account Setup/Wizard window does not automatically pop-up you can manually start the process by going to Tools > Account Setup and clicking Add Account.



3. Select Email account and click Next.




4. Key in Your Name and Email Address.
5. Click Next.

6. Select IMAP.
7. Enter exchv1.lj.ad.scripps.edu for both Incoming Server and Outgoing Server.
8. Click Next.




9. Make sure that your Incoming User Name (should be the same as your user name) is correct and click Next.

10. Enter an Account Name by which you would like to refer to this account and click Next.

11. Click Done.
