Using POP E-Mail with Eudora 7.x

How to configure Eudora 7.x (Windows) for POP Email

Note: If you're using Eudora version 6.0 or older, please upgrade to 7.x by going to www.eudora.com.

The following directions show you how to setup Eudora for your Scripps email account connecting to the Exchange server. These directions assume that this is the first time opening/using Eudora on the workstation (new installation).

Settings you need to know:

Incoming POP server: mail.scripps.edu
Outgoing SMTP server: smtp.scripps.edu

1. Open Eudora.
2. Go to Tools > Options.
3. On the left column, select Getting Started.
   
   


4. Real name: your full name
5. Email address: your Email address (username@scripps.edu)
6. Mail Server (Incoming): mail.scripps.edu
7. User Name: your username
8. SMTP Server (Outgoing): smtp.scripps.edu



9. On the left column, select Checking Mail.
   
   



10. If it's not already filled out for you, key in the following information:
11. Mail Server: mail.scripps.edu
12. User Name: your username
13. Check for mail every 10 minute(s)



14. On the left column, select Incoming Mail
    
    
    
    
15. Select POP for Server configuration.
16. On the left column, select Sending Mail.
    
    
    
    
17. If it's not already filled out for you, key in the following information:
1. Email address: your username@scripps.edu
2. SMTP server: smtp.scripps.edu
   
   
18. Click OK to finish and close.
