Setting up POP E-Mail with Mac Mail

1) Launch Mail and go to Preferences.

2) Set it up to look similar to the image below.
- Description: can be set to anything.
- Email Address: enter your email address.
- Full Name: enter your full name as you would like it to appear to your email recipients.
- Incoming Mail Server: set to the mail server that your account is on. Most TSRI accounts are on Hermes, but instead of entering Hermes, enter mail.scripps.edu. This will help to protect you from viruses.
- User Name: This is your email account without the @scripps.edu.
- Enter your Password if you do not want to enter it everytime.
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): should be set to smtp.scripps.edu.
- Close the window and click Save when prompted.
