Citrix Standalone Client Installation
Macintosh OS X
Download the Citrix Standalone Client installer disk image and
the connection configuration files for each Citrix application you
need to run (CONTROL-click the link and select "Save linked file"):
Save these files to your desktop, then double-click "MacICA_OSX.dmg".
A disk icon will appear called "Citrix ICA Client".
Double-click the disk icon to open it, then double-click "ICA Client.pkg"
to install the standalone client program.
Once the client program is installed, you may drag the "Citrix ICA
Client" disk image icon to the trash.
After installing the Citrix client program, you can launch the
desired Citrix application by double-clicking its connection file.
For example, to launch PureEdge, double-click the file "PureEdge.ica".
Unix (Linux/Solaris)
Download the Linux or Solaris client and the connection configuration
files for each Citrix application you need to run (right-click the link and select "save as"):
To install the client:
1. Become root.
If using the RPM package, type "rpm -iv linux_x86_ICAClient-9.0-1.i386.rpm"
to install the RPM package.
If using a TAR archive, create a directory and download the Solaris
client into it. Uncompress and untar the client package. As root,
run the setup program "setupwfc". By default, the client will be
installed in /usr/lib/ICAClient.
2. Make sure you NOT root and logged into your normal account. In order to enable drive mapping, type the following:
/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr
Answer "yes" to the license agreement.
The configuration utility will appear. On the Tools menu, select
Settings. Click Preferences, then select Drive Mapping.
On the entry for the C drive first check the enable box next to it, then
type in the path to your home directory (usually /home/username).
Make sure 'Enable Drive Mapping' is checked. Click
Ok, then close the program.
3. To launch a Citrix session from the command-line, type the following:
/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfica CONFIGFILE
where CONFIGFILE is the connection configuration file
ending with ".ica" downloaded above
for the desired application.
For example, to launch PureEdge type:
/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfica PureEdge.ica
