PureEdge via Citrix Standalone Client

PureEdge is currently available for Windows 98 through XP and for Mac OSX 10.4 "Tiger"; if your computer uses a previous or later version of Mac OSX, Windows Vista, or Unix, you will need to run PureEdge via our Citrix server.

Install the Citrix Standalone Client and download the PureEdge Connection file per the instructions on the Citrix standalone client instructions page.

Double-click the PureEdge connection file "PureEdge.ica". This will launch the Citrix Standalone Client and tell it to connect to the PureEdge program.

Log into the Citrix server using your Active Directory credentials. If you are not in Active Directory, please call the IT Services Help Desk at extension 4-9369 for assistance.

You may see an error message that says "This file cannot be printed using the selected printer"; this is due to a bug in the Macintosh Citrix client, and is harmless - just click "OK".

You will see the "OPEN FORM" dialog from PureEdge. The first time you run PureEdge via Citrix, this dialog will show the contents of a folder called "Desktop". This is not your Mac Desktop; it is the Windows Desktop.

Double-click "My Computer" and you will see an entry called "C$ on 'Client'(V:)"; this is your home directory on your own computer. Double-click that to see the files in your home directory. The folder in there called "Desktop" is your own computer's desktop.

The PureEdge file dialog will allow you to open any file that ends with the extension ".xfd", which is a PureEdge grant application form document. You need to have already downloaded one from grants.gov.
