Unrestricted Giving
In addition to laboratory research—the heart of the Institute’s work—unrestricted gifts help cover costs of buildings and personnel which in other institutions, such as state universities, are subsidized by taxpayers. At Scripps Research, every unrestricted dollar supports research by insuring that scientists have well-maintained buildings, well-operated equipment, and well-qualified personnel available to them at all times.
