Annual September Symposium

The symposium includes two poster sessions and a series of 15-minute talks by students. To further the interdisciplinary nature of the graduate program, biology and chemistry presentations are combined. As in past years, all students, except incoming first year students and those who have scheduled their thesis defense, are expected to give an oral or poster presentation. The symposium has the following objectives:

1. encourages scientific discussion among students and faculty,

2. provides a forum for presentation of a broad range of research topics by students,

3. serves as a measure of the scientific excellence of Scripps graduate students.

To achieve these goals, the symposium will closely resemble a scientific meeting.
