Interdisciplinary Training Programs

Welcome to Prospective Students

The Department of Immunology currently consists of 55 faculty investigating a wide range of topics in innate and adaptive immunity at the forefront of research in these fields. Most of the important questions in Immunology today will require interdisciplinary approaches to answer them. The graduate program, established in 1989, takes advantage of the unique environment of TSRI and is geared towards multidisciplinary training. In addition to instruction in immunology, students will receive training in cell biology, molecular biology, and structural biology. Just as importantly, the diversity of expertise and research interests among the Immunology faculty, as well as the faculty of the graduate program as a whole, fosters collaboration and allows students to approach their thesis problem from many different directions.
