Simple Schematic Showing the Differential Activation
of Raf by FGF and VEGF
FGF activates Raf via a pair of serine residues and leads to protection against stress-induced apoptosis. VEGF activates Raf via a pair of tyrosine residues and leads to protection against receptor-mediated apoptosis.
