The MacRae laboratory aims to understand RNA biology in terms of molecular structure and mechanism. We work to establish detailed molecular structures of cellular machines that mediate RNA processing and function. We further integrate structural understanding into mechanistic and functional studies with the goal of targeting processes involving RNA to novel therapeutic strategies.
