 07.2007 Postdoctoral Position Available There is an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in heme enzyme engineering at The Scripps Research Institute. The position will focus on in vitro evolution of P450s and other heme enzymes for oxidation of novel substrates. Multidisciplinary skills are very desirable, and the project will require extensive use of molecular biology techniques such as phage display, large mutant library construction and manipulation, screening for ligand binding and enzyme activities, and protein purification and characterization. The project will also make use of ongoing structural and biophysical techniques including X-ray structure determination, spectroscopic characterization and electrochemistry. The Scripps Research Institute is an excellent place to do research and offers many world class facilities and opportunities for collaborative multidisciplinary research.
