Our main objective is to unravel the intricate mechanisms controlling the development, regeneration and disease of the lacrimal and salivary glands. We have pioneered studies on lacrimal gland progenitor cell identification, specification, and function, as well as the precise mechanisms controlling lacrimal gland branching morphogenesis. We also have a longstanding interest in studying the lacrimal and salivary glands inflammation, associated with autoimmune disease or aging.
