RSS & Web 2.0
RSS is a way to consolidate the latest information on websites into one place, called a reader. Instead of going to all of your favorites websites, journals and blogs individually, you can subscribe to that site's rss feed and it will automatically load the latest headlines into your chosen feed reader. Common readers are Bloglines and Google Reader.

Web 2.0 is a trend of web-based resources to become more interactive, personal and collaborative. Think blogs, wikis and social-networking sites.

The Science Network - videos of various science meetings and symposia.

SciVee- created by Phil Bourne of UCSD, SciVee is a "YouTube for scientists". Researchers post 10-minute videos explaining the results from their published papers.

OpenWetWare, an open-source wiki created by MIT that inlcudes protocols, blogs, courses and hosts lab groups from around the world.
