Immunology
and Vascular Biology
Training Program
Applications to the Immunology and Vascular Biology Program
This program was established to bring to the Research Institute a group of new Ph.D. and
M.D. students to train to enter the academic/research community. Its major goal is to train these new Ph.D. and M.D. candidates to enter, continue
and establish independent research programs of their own by filling key faculty positions in medical schools and medical research institutes around
the country.
Degree Requirement
Individuals must have received a Ph.D., M.D., D.O., D.D.S., D.V.M.,
O.D., D.P.M. Sc.D., D.Eng., D.N.S., or equivalent doctoral degree from an
accredited domestic or foreign institution. Certification by an authorized
official of the degree granting institution that all degree requirements
have been met is also acceptable.
Citizenship
The individual to be trained must be a citizen or a noncitizen national
of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence
at the time of appointment. A noncitizen national is a person who, although
not a citizen of the United States, owes permanent allegiance to the United
States. They are generally persons born in lands which are not states, but
which are under U.S. sovereignty, jurisdiction, or administration (e.g.,
American Samoa). Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible.
The Scripps Research Institute is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applications from members
