Posting a Postdoctoral Position At TSRI


  • Complete an electronic Requisition form using the new online applicant tracking system.
  • Attach a note about your URL if more information about the position is posted on a webpage in your lab website
  • Complete the Job Description portion of the Requisition
  • Complete the Technical Checklist portion of the Requisition
  • Review and complete the Working Conditions Assessment page of the Requisition
  • Route the completed Requisition through the signature/approval process

TSRI Faculty: Once an approved Requisition is received in Human Resources it will be posted to the website. It will only be removed from the website when you fill the opening and notify H.R. with the name of the New Hire or when you notify H.R. that the posting is cancelled.

Research Description: A postdoctoral research fellowship is open in the research group of Thomas M. Sharp, for a canditate interested in developing the methods of continuum electrostatics for application to the interactions of biological molecules. Particular emphasis will be placed on methods of rapidly calculating interactions for many different dockings configurations between a protein and a ligand, or between two proteins.

Requires: The ideal candidate should have a background in molecular biophysics, should be familiar with numerical methods for partial differential equations or quadrature in three dimensions, and should be able to program in C++ in a Unix enviroment.
