Injury Treatment

Workers' Compensation - California

If you have a work-related injury or illness, Workers' Compensation insurance pays for medical treatment and provides compensation to help replace your lost income until you can return to work.

How To Report a Work-Related Injury or Illness

It is important to report a work-related injury or illness as soon as possible. The following steps should be followed after an injury or illness occurs:

  1. Report the injury to your supervisor.
  2. Seek medical attention at the appropriate facility (see below) if needed.
  3. Report the injury by calling Benefits at ext. 4-8487
  4. Benefits will email your supervisor the injury report to complete and email back.
  5. Continue to keep your supervisor and Human Resources updated on the status of your ability to work by providing copies of your work status report(s) from the treating physician.
