1. I've logged into the Open Enrollment system. What do I do now?

Once you have logged into the Open Enrollment system, you can navigate through the system using the toolbar on the left of your screen or by using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the each page. You may want to review your address and list of dependents to see if any changes should be made. Additionally, you may want to review what types of insurance coverages you currently have, and assess whether you want to make any changes.

2. When are my Open Enrollment changes completed?

Once you have reviewed your address, list of dependents, and types of coverages, as well as made any changes you wish to make for the next plan year. You can simply log off the system by clicking on the “Logoff” button at the bottom of the page or by using the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen. When you logoff, any changes you made will be saved and become effective as of January 1st.

3. How can I receive proof of the changes I made during Open Enrollment?

4. Why can't I delete my dependents from the list?

The list of dependents that appears on your “Dependents” screen consists of all of your family members that you either currently cover on your plans, or may have covered in the past. You will be unable to delete a dependent from this list because the Human Resources Information system stores the history of your dependent's coverage. The "delete" button is only for those who add dependents during Open Enrollment and then change their minds.

5. I don't want to cover my dependents on my Medical plan. How do I make sure of that?

Once you access your medical plan from the “Benefit Plans” screen, your dependents will be listed at the bottom of the page. If you don’t want to cover your dependents, make sure the boxes next to your dependents’ names are unchecked.

6. How will I know the changes I made in the system took place?

After Open Enrollment is over and Human Resources has audited and implemented the changes you made, a Benefits Confirmation statement will be mailed to your home address in December. This statement will show the changes you made to your coverage and your dependents covered on your plans.
