The Brock Grill Laboratory at The Scripps Research Institute Florida

Welcome to the Brock Grill Laboratory

Research in the Grill lab at The Scripps Research Institute, Florida focuses on three major problems in neuroscience.

1) What are the molecular mechanisms that regulate synapse formation?

2) What are the molecular mechanisms that govern axon termination?

3) How are different events in neuronal development coordinated and integrated on a molecular level?

Providing answers to these questions is at the heart of not only understanding how neurons develop, but also how developmental mechanisms may be harnessed to treat neurodegenerative disease and traumatic injury to the nervous system.
